[ it hits her now that it's not just her who's needed comfort. her experiences may be different and that's why she feels so bad, but dhurke never got to see her grow up or be there for her whenever she needed the love of her father. it makes her grip on him tighten (as tight as it can be, anyway) in an attempt to let him know that she's here now.
